after desatuaration i went for a skindive/freedive. no no its not the first time i am doing it here, but the first time i took enough weights and my cam. main purpose was finding olafs white painted frogfisch in the shallow waters of our housereef – i still remembered the place he told us.
ok, first i forgot my mask, but noticed when i was already standing deep in the water. so i went back, took the mask, some more weights (my cam in the housing is positiv) and went to the other side due to a look at the tides-calendar which told me the currents going the other way. i was searching the place for at least 30 min, from 2 to 5,5 meter, but i did not find it. i decided to snorkel back to the shop.
on the way i saw to dancing pipehorse and thought “oh nice, mating time”. i took some pics, took a deep breath and went down (just 1,5m) for a while to make video. the result is good enough to upload and show you people. when i watched it first i noticed it was no mating, it was “just” feeding time for the pipehorses too small for the human eye but visible on the vidoe i found out there were plenty of small crabs which are the food of the pipehorse. unfortunatelly i am not trained enough and i had to stop after 90 sec. i took another movie, but my cutting program doesn’t like the fileformat, so you have to be happy with 1:26 min. enjoy the silence!!!
after the two i met a small jellyfish struggling with the small waves it was going up and down and seemed to watch itself in the reflection of the surface. after it had enough of me it just went away mooning, ladylike 😀
